The ATLAS experiment is being constructed by 1700 collaborators in 144 institutes around the world. It will study proton-proton interactions on LHC (the Large Hadron Collider) at  CERN   (the European Laboratory for Particle Physics) 

The Shandong group is involved  in the muon spectrometer instrumentation, more specifically in the costruction of TGC (the Thin Gap Chamber), and the development of the simulation and reconstruction software for the ATLAS Muon system: TGC online alignment software ... etc.

The TGC construction Lab (as the picture above) has been built until Mach,2001. The tools and materials is being installed in this Lab from that time on ...
