A STAR Regional Meeting & a workshop on “high temperature and high density nuclear matter study” (the Major State Basic Research Development Program in China, so-called 973 project) will be held at the Weihai campus of Shandong University, Weihai, China, during August 18-22, 2014. August 18th will be the arrival and registration day.

This meeting will discuss recent progress and future plan at STAR, with special focus on: i) The phase II of STAR Beam Energy Scan and iTPC upgrade. ii) The recent progress and plan for the 973 project “high temperature and high density nuclear matter study”. The meeting will consist of STAR physics analysis talks and invited theory talks.
